Inspired to draw Wonder Woman by my finance' (or told as it were) for the 2014 Orlando Megacon, I drew Wonder Woman! Sticking to my guns! Anyway, a lot of fun to do, but a pain too. I drew Wonder Woman thinking I could just make it a picture of her with a sword on a blank background. Well, that didn't work so I let my pencil wander and this came out...well after a few centaurs...well I was told by my fiance' to use a cyclops. Anyway...pen and ink on bristol board, any comments welcome!
Very nice drawing overall. The right leg looks er...broken. The way it bends isn't natural. Maybe shading the shin would help, I'm not sure. Also, the clouds look more like rocks than clouds. It looks like you gave more attention to the actual rocks than the clouds. You could leave the clouds out and the drawing wouldn't suffer.
Yeah, I goofed with the leg, comes from just jumping in and not doing any prep work. I'm going to try to fix it though, probably with shading. If that doesn't work, well, she did just fight a giant cyclops...a broken leg seems a bit reasonable. Either way, the cyclops still got the worse end of it. I see what you mean with the clouds, though I think they should be there, I just need try a different way of rendering them. Anyway, thanks for the critique!
Great composition and clean lines!
Only thing that needs a little work is the foreshortening on her body. Like the legs and arms look flat. Everything else is good.
